I have an XP-10ACX which is 145" tall. My ceiling is 148 1/2" tall. I also have fluorescent lights which run perpendicular to the lift. After installation there is less than 1" clearance between the lift and the bulb. I hope this helps.

I have an XP-10CX. Like livewire said it is 145" tall. I have a 13' 1" ceiling and I have a good foot above it. I absolutely love this lift (My back and knees love it as well ) I mostly work on aircooled vw racecars, but have had my wife's minivan and my 97 Chevy Crewcab Dually up it with no problems. Glad I got the "X" as it is a foot wider. Big difference.

Cool garage!

Just curious. Does the wider XP-10CX really help with the VWs or the mini-van? Or just the 97 Chevy Crewcab Dually?

Thanks. It really helps with everything. Since it is a symmetrical lift I figured the extra width would help with opening the doors, etc. I went with symmetrical because of the rear engine cars, even though they are light, all the weight is still hanging off the back. I had both sym. and assym. at my shop I just sold and preffered the sym for these cars.

Mine worked out pretty close once the columns were shimmed and plumbed up. There was still some slight differences in the arm pad heights (maybe 1/2" to 3/4" or so) but I was able to swap the arms around to get them all even. I suppose it was due some slight inconsistency in the arm manufacturing?? :headscrat I dunno, but I can lay a level across from arm to arm and it's right on the money now.

I'm across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the eastern shore. About 20 minutes past the bridge. I used to work in the Lanham/New Carrollton area when I had my shop. So, you got your lift delivered and up already? That was quick. Did the installation go smoothly?
