My shop has changed quite a bit since November of 08. This is the first year I've been completely out of racing in many years and although my shop has transformed(not completed yet but getting there)into something I've wanted for a long, long time theirs still a little sadness with racing season in full swing. Oh well, maybe things will work out and we will race again:thumbup:

This was back last summer:

I miss racing but I honestly wouldn't trade back now. I'm having the best time I've ever had in the shop.

Thanks for looking:)

Wow thats a nice set up, to bad the notch is gone though! That was a sharp drag car!

Isn't that how it is with us garage people, we turn 2 car garages into no car garages...haha

Looks great!

No doubt. If we had a car we'd have no where to put it:D

So did you do some trading ? Race car for tools ? Some very nice tools !
Set up looks bitchin !

No, actually sold the car rolling then the engine. I got more for the engine than the car:lol_hitti

Being out of racing hurts, but as you've already figured out, you'll be amazed at how much time and money you were using up with it.
I sorta got back to it, building motors, helping out the racers at the track, but I'm spending their money and I don't HAVE to be there weekly if I don't wanna be. It's alot cheaper and easier that way.

Shop looks nice, hope my new one comes together as well as your's has. It will, I just keep getting delayed by tornado's and such..........

As much as I love racing. I like the new look better. You got a couple of heavy items there that are still on my want list. But just still have not found the deals yet.

Yeah, I think those are changes for the better. :)

The only thing you need to make that truly righteous is a two-wheeler or three. Racing motorcycles take up less space. ;)

So what are you building with that mill and lathe?

What brand is the mill?

I quit racing in '87. I ran the IMCA Florida modified series during Spped Weeks, came back home, and never got in it again. I did some race promoting for two years then said goodbye.

It was a good ride but time marches on.

Last week I got an email inviting me to participate in one of my old tracks "legends nite"... I just hope some poor guy doesn't have to volunteer his ride to let me take a few more wild laps...

Great shop Jeff. I don't know if you would remember me or not. My name is Mike Edwards. I worked for Wayne Young back in 01 and 02. I remember repairing your BBC heads a couple times when the rocker bolts were tearing out of them.

I've also spent a fair amount of time working on that orange car back when Scott owned it. What happened to that car, who did you sell it to? It's definitely a piece of mustang racing history.

Hmm...I'm pretty sure I've seen that car at Huntsville several times too.

Ahh...I see you're from Priceville, so probably so.

Hey Jeff-

I can't believe you sold that car! That thing was one of my favorites. Any plans in the future? I finally got the old NMRA Pure Street car back together. I'll be using it on the street mostly until it comes apart again for another class. Hope all is well.

Well I just couldn't stand it so I bought it back. It definitely cramps things up again but I will manage. The wife and I are thrilled to have it back.

OK I didn't see that coming!!!!! Good one. I was wondering what the hell you where building with all that equipment - a space shuttle??? Now you can put it all to use!

But I'm still curious - what would you use all that stuff for. I always wonder what OCG builds too with all the guff he has in his shop....I mean most things are off-the-shelf nowadays...

Cool shop!!

Thanks guys.

As for building stuff, I'm the owner of Chandler Racing Components. Were new and just getting started, we haven't even completed our website but that's very close.
I'm in the beginning phases but I'm building some Mustang and possibly some G and A bodied suspension pieces. I make lug nut inserts that allow you to run 12 point 1/2"-20 nut(206 oz's total weight for both sides). I've got a really cool radiator, fuel cell and fuel pump bolt in setup for the Fox bodies along with a similar setup for the trunk that should fit most any car. These are in the very first stage but will have them on the website as soon as possible.

This has been a dream of mine for many years, I only wished I hadn't had to sell the car, engine, trans, etc... to purchase the equipment but it's worked out, I got the car back and so far all my equipment is paid for.

Thanks for asking guys.

Cool stuff. I would guess there will be picture not too far down the road of the car w/ a new BB Chevy in it. Nice touch.

Unfortunately no BB Chevy this time. The rule changes in the class has kinda wrote those off. This time we will have a 420 SB Chevy. With the engine rules building a 1000+ HP SB naturally aspirated is the norm. With the BB I made 1140 but had to weigh 3500, SB 1000-1020 and weigh 3000. The SB would smoke the BB with at least a tenth to spare.

I remember watching Jason Scruggs run a 3.99 et (1/8th) with a Blown Alky injected Pro-Mod 400 SB at the Oburg Dragstrip a few years ago. It was damn impressive to say the least.

Glad you got your ride back man.... and the cool shop tools to go with it!

Sue me but I'd take this shop over all the "manicured" garages with expensive drawers and no oil stains (or mills/bandsaws).

That's a nice setup man! I'm jealous.
