umm AGAIN if all i did was drill a hole in the case and cut out a piece then ya, you're right.

But I did waaayyy more than that - and typed it out. Look up... testing the motherboard, replace it. tested the psu, replaced it. figured out how to make the flip switch still work by wiring a button to the mb and re-engineering how the switch turned the psu on... etc... ya, THAT is IT work...

client = someone who is paying me, who i have never met, that i was referred to by a friend, who called me, lives in NYC and I live in LA. I like to think we're friends, but no, he is a client.

srmofo, what is wrong with you? can't stand to see a chic be technical? feel threatened? probably. that's ok. i have run into people like you before too. you know what happens? you're angry your whole life and are never happy. you may be successful. but never happy.

work on the weekend? if i had a 9-5 job that would be true. but when you work freelance, the hours you choose to set are your own. or didn't you know that? when are you planning to move out of parent's basement finally and get a real job? working for the neighbors by doing yard work doesn't count.

Rant much? This is just getting funny now, you have some real anger issues or something. I'm just saying, this is not a normal response. Your throwing personnel attacks at someone you have never met and really hasn't wronged you in any way. Even if you though his comments were snide or not helpful, personnel attacks are not a normal response!!!

By eck woman, with a sharp tongue like that, I don't envy the chap who ends up being your hubby somewhere down the line.

Being serious for a moment though, calm down on the attitude. It's neither necessary nor endearing. The fact you are female is irrelevant. It's the rather unladylike, condescending attitude which is your weakness. You were offered multiple suggestions on how to achieve your goal, and you ultimately did. Whether some of the suggestions were suitable for you or not is irrelevant. You have the ability to mentally filter through responses and only take away the knowledge you require. Slagging people off is a grand way to make sure you won't get any future advice, however. What you give you receive is the simple way of putting it.

Btw, just for reference, you should never assume that others are unfamiliar with the areas of work you do. I'm quite sure there are a good few of us on here who could do the things you mention without a moments thought or hesitation, and I'm quite sure there are even more on here who are well acquainted with all of the subtleties of self employment.

Be nice to others and you'll be proffered the same courtesy.
