It depends on the urethane. Some can be dip and roll applied out of a 5 gallon bucket or paint tray. Others you will need to pour a bead on the floor, squeegee it and then roll it. I would call the manufacturer for more information - if it is a moisture cure coating and you try to dip and roll it, you could have a real tough time.

Ya wasnt sure if I had to pour it like epoxy or could dip and roll, but I found a video by norkan, I am using their product and it looks like they pour squeege and roll.

nokkieny -

I just put down the HPU 747 last week on my garage floor. Just mix, squeegee and roll the urethane.

If you haven't done it already... make sure that you wear an organic vapor respirator. The vapors from the urethane are absolutely the worst - but the clear coat is wonderful once its cured.

Best of luck.

If a friend looking to adopt a puppy texts me "HOW LRG DOES A PUPPY GROW?" and I respond "35 lbs" there could be problems when his Mastiff grows up to weigh 120 lbs. Clearly just because all the dogs I've had weighed about 35 pounds doesn't mean I can assume all other dogs weigh the same. Truth is that there are dozens and dozens of different types of dogs; and it's the same situation with floor coatings.

Yes, some epoxies perform best when dipped and rolled, while other are easier to pour and roll out. Likewise some urethanes smell terrible, while other have hardly any odor at all.

The Wolverine clear coat, EnduraShield 2254, can be poured out or rolled from a tray, but most folks much prefer dip & roll. If there's a grip additive then dip & roll is by far the best way to be certain the grip is spread evenly (pouring out the mix may lead to concentrated clumps of the grit). And 2254 has almost no smell at all - certainly not to the point that any sort of breathing mask is required or even recommended.

Point being that these sorts of detailed questions about a specific product are best answered by the distributor of that product. Generic answers may work, or they may result in a failed project.

I found their instructional video which says to poor squeege roll, so thats what I did, I remixed the grit additive before each poor because it did rise to the surface, It looks good, I am going to wait a week before moving any cars in.
