How to block people

Is there a way to block people so you do not see their posts?

click on their name , click on profile ,go to users lists and theres a tab there to block

User CP (control panel) in the upper left, then at the left scroll down to Edit Ignore List. Type in the name.

This forum currently uses vBulletin and it will show blocked users' comments if someone quotes them. Ryan is going to be upgrading the forum software soon to Xenforo, and that version blocks even quoted comments. I'm on another forum that uses Xenforo and it's funny when someone else is talking to another member who is blocked - you wonder "who are they talking to?"

Over the years I've blocked a few members and over time they have been banned or left. At this time I have no one on the list.
