The last time I relocated my service entrance, I connected my meter can to my main, outdoor cutoff box with a short 2 inch diameter ******, with electrical locknuts on the inside and outside of each box and the grounding bushing pictured on the right, below. The inspector thought I did a better job on all the work than what he usually sees by the licensed guys in town, especially with my bonding.
This time I am relocating my service entrance to my new garage and I thought about using these new water tight conduit fittings (on the left, below,) when I run the short ****** to connect my meter can to my main, outdoor shutoff. (Our utility company does not want me to use a combo meter/main box.)
Anyway, my question is how do I bond the fitting on the left? Should I put a bonding locknut under the inside portion first, or use a bonding wedge that I see illustrated in my NEC codebook (but which I can't seem to find anywhere,) or what?
Is it considered "self-bonding" maybe?
