Just put it in a drawer and don't use it for 6 years. (Note no USA made stamp on these)

Ironically, the ones that were used, are in working condition....

Hmmm.... Maybe like the old maxim "cars were built to run" :thumbup:

they were likly did not have the packing pressure up as much as they shold have so they can shorted the cycle time of the molding process

good thing is that they may just give you the newer version with the allen on the end of the handle as well

Yeah, I think they just took those out of the stores. The newer version is a good bit nicer. You should be able to get a free upgrade.

Question is if he returns them as a set, will they give him a new set of just a replacement of the one that is busted? I mean, this is Sears we're talking about here.

Why are snap on any better ive warrenteed all my hammers made with the plastic or composite handles for the exact same reason CRACKING .
did i miss something ?

I'm confused about what actually caused the break. The steel shrank or expanded and cracked the plastic?

Or the opening and closing of the drawers caused them to knock against each other?
