Ask a buddy at the phone company if you can borrow his man killer. He’ll know what you mean if he’s ever buried drop or fiber. It’s a hand trencher that weighs about 18 lbs. They have wrecked many shoulders and I’m glad I didn’t have to use one. It will do the job in short order. Water the path will help.

Cable plow is the easy way to go and doesn't make a mess - you can hardly see the sod cut when done. Might find an irrigation installer that would do it. They are set up to do bigger pipe but no reason why you couldn't run cable through it. Or put some black plastic pipe in as conduit for the cable.

Did about the same distance in a couple hours through my back yard with just a shovel and tucking it in. Probably only 2-3" in a lot of places but pressed back down with foot and going on about 4yrs. I figured that if I cut through it at some point in the future I am only out the cost of wire and a couple hours of work.
