how to clean tool box

im just curious what you guys think is the best way to clean years of grease and grime off the box without taking all the paint off is

mineral spirits or if you don't mind the smell, kerosene with the 3M maroon non-scratch scrubbing pads... then maybe application of clay bar or rubbing compound. then wipe everything with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) finally polish/wax. My favorite is NuFinish or Liquid Glass (although they are officially not classified as wax nor polish)

Mopar Total Clean and a microfiber cloth.

Use diluted all purpose and on the realy bad spot... diluted degreasser...
I like zep product for both apc and degreaser.

yeah I dont think my box is quite worthy of wax lol,it just has the years of grime with dust compacted in I guess ill try the simple green

Depending on how bad it is, you can always try WD-40.
