How to continuous row mount strip lights?

Maybe a silly question, but I'm looking to buy 20x LED ready T8 style strip lights and am not sure about how the various fixtures mount together to form one continuous strip. I'd like 4x strips of four, and 2x strips of two. Some fixtures mention in the description they can be continuous mounted in rows but no picture or description in the listing or manufacturers literature about how to do so. Most fixtures have a knockout on each end. Would you just use a romex knockout clamp to affix them together? I'd imagine this or a bushing would be prudent to run wire between them. Do some fixtures come with bracketry to attach them end to end and pass wire between fixtures?

Looking at the fixtures mentioned in the sticky "The Best Light Fixture Ever!" thread, I don't see any mention of this, at least with the fixtures mentioned in there. How do I go about mounting the strip lights end to end and pass wire between them?

I think it is going to depend on the fixtures you decide to buy. Download the installation instructions for the ones you are looking at and it will tell you there if you can run them together or not. That is the only way to know.

Lots of strips you take off the end plate and then use it to line the fixtures up. Makes sense if you see it.

and some come with couplings, like Bert said, you take the end cap off and slide the coupling in and slide the next light fixture onto it

I've only bought two 4' units and they were pretty much not possible to mount end to end nor to surface mount. If I was doing it, I would source regular 8' 4 bulb strip light fixtures, wire them up, then add LED bulbs.

I just bought and mounted two 4' LED strips together. They are Lithonia brand. Not sure of the model # but I bought them at the Depot. They came with the brackets for continuous mounting of multiple strips together. The end caps are removed and the supplied brackets come with the self-tapping screws.
