Hello. I have some old Craftsman power tools and I would like to know when they were manufactured (and by who). For example I have two 10" inch tables saws (one is: model # 113.241680/serial #7036.P0884, and the other is model number: 113.298240/serial number 1007.P0270). I think there is a way to use the serial number do get the year of manufacture but I am not sure exactly how. The first saw listed is a 10" flex cable drive, and when I try to get the date, it doesn't match with what I know about the saw (who I got it from and how long they had it). I also know there was a (now defunct) Sears website you could go and enter in the serial number to get all the info so that's no help. And maybe I'm doing something wrong (probably) but when I try entering those numbers at the vintage machinery website, I can't get a result. Anyone know of a way to find out when a Sears power tool was made? or by who? I have a lot of old Sears power tools that I would like to get the manufacture date. Thanks in advance for all who offer help, suggestions, and advice!
