how do you disassemble a gearwrench ratcheting combination wrench? I have a couple that jam up and I want to clean it out and grease it. I don't see any circlips, or gaps for that matter.

They're not serviceable. However,if you soak the ratcheting boxed end in ATF for a couple of days, they seem to work better.

If not, it might be time to warranty it.

You know funny thing I had a Craftsman ratcheting wrench that was acting up, and this was actually marked in fine print on the wrench

"Clean and oil regularly"

Works a lot better now :D

You can try making clip tool with old feeler blade to slip in gap of broach ring and push in c clip .
a good hammer tap works too, then rework the clip for fitting

why they didn't do 2 small access slots to pry clip is beyond common logic as cleaning and lubing is a must on these type tools for good operation .

This works for me. As for warranty on Craftsman or Gearwrench. Ace Hardware does both here.

I tried using a feeler gauge but the gap is just too small, can't get anything between the body and socket part. I ended up just soaking the head in some light oil and worked it loose. its a lot better but once in a while it skips.
