How to do Spray Buffing?

So I rented a floor polisher and it came with either the black or white pad. I got a couple white pads but they are almost like scotch brite material. So I put 3 coats of armstrongs fllor polish (S-403) and followed all the instructions. So when I went to do the spray buff I sprayed the area with polish and went to work. Only thing is that the finish was actually less shiny after I did a test area. I left the polished on an area for a little while and isn't giving me a glassy finish at all. So what am I doing wrong or do I have the wrong pad? Thanks for any and all help.

was your machine a high speed buffer? there are different types of machines some are for stripping the floor and some for buffing. make sure its a high speed something like 1500 rpms then use a hog hair aor bear hair pad slowly with no chemicals then mop the floor with water nothing in it. let it dry and then do small areas with a white pad and your spray buff. also some spray buff may not do anything to the type of sealer you have on the floor
