How to fill the jack?

so how do you guys fill say the hydraulic jack on your cherry pickers?

I cant remember how i did it last. But im pretty sure it resulted in some mess. lol.

I am at the stage now where i have to add some fluid. A seal puked on the speed adjust knob and once i replace it it'll need a refill.

let see those ingenious ideas.. I'll post one up as well if i figure something out. lol.

should be a little bump on the side somewhere that is a rubber plug, pull it and fill there.

Not exactly what i was thinking.. But i guess some people are not aware of it. lol.
So how do you get the caramilk.. wait.. thats something else...

Use a bayster(SP) Or a Syringe.

What I was taught from an old timer . Take a skinny long screwdriver and put it in the fill hole, then spill slowly jack fluid (ATF) on the shank and it just follows the shank into the reservoir. The key is to slowly spill it and it just runs in. No mess until you tip the jug to much or don't stop when its full. HTH

lol. Thats a good one. Ive used a Small Tie strap like that in the past as well.. ALways seem to tip to much though. haha.

Yeah thats a good one. Be nice to have had that. lol.
came up with this today. worked good. At first left the bottle whole so i could squeeze it.. But feared the cap popping off and making a mess.. So i cut it off and just let gravity do its thing. took a couple fills. But all good now.
