Hi all,

I'm looking for advice on how to fix a gap at the center of one of our garage doors. At the very center of the door it is about a 2" gap. Should I use an epoxy mortar and feather it out or hire a pro to cut it out and repour all new concrete? We are trying to heat the garage and have just put in two new insulated garage doors and are putting in new windows this spring.

We are located in Massachusetts so we get a good long cold winter. The garage is now heated so it will have some steadiness.

It looks like the high spots are just at the ends. Maybe grind those areas down? You may end up with a lip, or a bit of a slope in those spots, but much cheaper than a repour.

i'd screw some kind of weatherseal on the inside, following the contour of the floor as you screw it on. and wont be visible from outside.

Grind the ends. Much cheaper than a repour. I had a similar issue with a high spot in the center. It was an easy fix with a diamond cup grinder

We used a flap type weather seal on the outside and installed it to follow the contour of the floor.
We also installed some foam in that U shaped seal under the door so it is stiffer in the center

Grind the ends, and use a good bulb type seal on the door bottom.
