Starting to get a game plan around to stud my shop. Its a 32x48x12 pole barn. plan is to build the walls on the floor , stand them up and anchor them to the 6x6. Question is at the top, do I do anything in between the boards holding the trusses up? Any insulation or cap it off? I'm new to this take it easy on me! Thanks for your time

Is there a particular reason you're studding it rather than just running 2x4s horizontally and putting your wall on? Either way you'll want insulation in there.

Perfect timing. I will be asking this same question shortly as I also plan to run 6" studs between the poles in my garage when I build it. I will be facing mine with various lengths of salvaged 2x6, 2x8 and 2x10's.

I put screen up between the truss carrier and the roof purlins. I then did bookshelf girts horizontally between the foundation posts and put bats of insulation between the bookshelf girts. My ceiling in the shop is metal skin like the outside attached to the truss. I then blew insulation on top of that. The screen kept the insulation out of the vented eaves so that airflow wasn't diminished.

No, I'm open to all suggestions. Use metal hangers on the 2x4 or just nail it?
