Everytime i hold a conversation with someone in PM, the message just keeps getting requoted in the text area. Evertime i receive a new message from whom i was speaking with the previous message is always already quoted in the text box. Is there a way to set up my PMs so the message isnt already quoted in the new message area? Its quite annoying and even more annoying that you got to erase all the previous quotes everytime to clean your message up a bit and make it legible. Any help guys?

You can delete the quote before you type your reply.

Like Simon said, delete the quote. Whatever is in the reply box is going to get sent. However, if the person you are PMing doesn't delete what's in their side of the reply box, you'll still get the quote.

Yes i know this but isnt there a way to keep the previous quoted message from showing up in the new message box? It seems to do this automatically and erasing it everytime is super annoying! Why cant the message box just be blank for the new message instead of being filled up with the previous handful of messages you already sent. Why do the "quotes" need to be in there everytime?!!? I think the PM system is flawed because of this. Very very frustrating:rant:

When youre trying to reply to someone on a cell phone and everything is smaller and you have huge hands, just typing something into the message box is a pain in the **** since when you tap the screen to write something the cursor always ends up somewhere in the quoted message part that was automatically put there by the forum settings. I cant be the only one that this bothers. Some people prolly just dont bother to ask if theres a fix and just deals with it. Im not the type of person that "just deals with" anything. I try to remedy everything if it aint right.

I'd likely bet money it's set up this way like any other vBulletin forum.

Wait for the updates when we go over to the new format like that of the H.A.M.B. forum then see how you like it. Not sure of the time frame Ryan has in mind but the changes will make a difference.

Ok will do. Thanks:willy_nil

Ok are the updates ready yet? Im tired of waiting.
And how much do you pay for your membership? You sound like its something you pay for and because you see it as an inconvenience, someone should jump right to adjusting it for you, right now. This ain't the cable company, pal.

I'm on several other forums and they do the same, in messages. It's like an e-mail chain... replies are all present.

Take a number, and have a seat, sir. Someone will call your number, when they're available.
