how to get rid of

I have some used once VW transmission tools for 091 trans. They are specific to that vehicle. About $2200 cost and it is time to clear the garage of them. Posted on CL, will post on FBMP, as well as a VW forum. Running out of ideas. They are too heavy and bulky to ship reasonably. Anyone have other ideas on ways to sell them? I hate to trash them, which is what is going to happen next. No set price in mind, just hate to give them to a mooch as there are plenty in the VW world, and hate to send them to the landfill.

find a local VW specialist and see if they'll buy them or have a customer who wants them?

Contact A.T.R.A. And see if they would let you post them in GEARS magazines for sale section.

The Samba, FB market place and eBay and just wait it out. Local veedub swap meets are also a good place. Trans tools don’t sell really quick as most everyone thinks the veedub transaxle is a complex beast and they won’t venture into a diy repair.

I most certainly would not throw them away. That would be a terrible waste. All else fails give them to someone local. Transmission guy, local mechanic anyone.

VW has a good following, and likely a local club would be happy to get them

Put them on FB MP with a very specific title, I'd think it would be an easy sell.
