Hi,

I'm looking on Craigslist/FB Marketplace for a used 26" craftsman lower, and would like a version with Griplatch.

Is there an easy way (beside the grip latch decal on the upper left) to tell if the boxes I'm looking at are grip latch? Did 100% of the grip latch boxes have the decal? Was grip latch only used with a particular color scheme, or is the door trim somewhat different?

TIL!

The griplatch was only offered on the higher end 18" deep boxes as well as the larger pro series. There was a lowerline of ball bearing slide boxes that didn't have griplatch. The boxes tend to have the rectangler craftsman badge and griplatch decal. They were offered in the different color combinations, but I would say black was by far the most common. Picture from a 2010 or 11 catalog I still have laying around.

Easiest way I've been able to tell- Flat facing front drawers. The non-GL have a bulge at the bottom usually.
