Treat them like any other varmint- place some rat/mouse poison mixed with p'nutbutter around the garage- he'll find and will be gone shortly. Patch the hole and hope his pals don't find the same way in.

Or, you can call Bullwinkle and tell him Rocky has to go home!

Put some amonia in a small plastic tub and punch some holes in the top of it. The smell will drive them away. It sounds like you know where they are getting in so that would be the place to put it ... but I agree with the comment above ... fix the hole.

Sounds like the little guy might have a problem with malnutrition. if I had to guess, a little low on lead. Nothing a air powered rifle wouldn't take care of....

Patch the hole. Cover it with something he can't chew through (like galvanized hardware cloth), or dust the area with cayenne pepper powder.

I don't like poison due to them dying in some hard to find spot inside your house. I have had good success with the large glue traps for tree rats. +1 on hardware cloth over any openings!

Once you get him out, other squirrels will find the hole (they smell it). Make sure you block it up well and maybe even spray inside and around it with bleach or ammonia before you seal it up.

You'll have to eliminate the squirrel, by whatever means you choose...once they've been inside, they'll keep coming back. Blocking the hole won't help, they will just chew a new one faster than you can imagine.

Also, chances are there is more than one squirrel who knows about the hole, so expect that you'll have to declare war on a whole bunch of them before you're done.

That video is hilarious.

Good luck with those squirrels. I'm battling some that have been living under the hood of my truck. Bastards built a next on the engine and a toilet area on the fender well. They ate every hose and wire that was in their way and tore up the under hood insulation for bedding.
I shot one yesterday. That sucker must have weighed 5 or 6 lbs, he was huge. I'm going to eat him this weekend. Maybe if I bbq him in the yard the other squirrels will see what I'm capable of and they'll move away.
