How to lubricate sk ratcheting screwdriver?

Basically i have a SK Hand Tool SK73671 thats looks like:

and i want to fill it with....
418YHKM896L._SL500_AA280_.jpg


so i was wondering should i just pour some in the hole is there any harm that can happen? or do i need to somehow disassemble it to lubricate it right?

Hmmm arent ratcheting screwdrivers twords the finer side of things as far as ratchets go ?
Maybe oil thats a little thinner would be better.:confused:

Hi thanks for your reply could i just pour the thinner oil into the hole then?

Not to get off topic.


I got a Craftsman Pro ratchet driver that looks just like that SK, I have had it about 10 yrs or so. I have used it so much the lettering wore off the handle. I wonder who is the original manufacture of this driver :confused::headscrat

I'll snap a pic of mine in a few.

Mine looks a little different than yours, I never looked close at it before but it is marked made in Germany :shocking: US PAT 5.069.091

I did not find any lube spot near the ratchet area on mine. But it has been a good driver especially when I need high torque to get something loose.
