Whippet, there are products available for VCT that requires a top coat of acrylic sealer mixed with polymer grip.

This type of product is good if you are dealing with real slippery conditions such as snow being tracked in the garage. There are other commercial finishes that help reduce slipping from wet feet, such as walking in from outdoors, but you need to shop around to find those.
