I did a search but came up short. I'm trying to mount outside lights, and best I can figure is to use a 26" piece so it will span three of the big ribs and use a pipe clamp. Any info would be appreciated.

What do the lights look like? I normally see a box cut in one of the lows. A piece of strut on the inside between the girts if you need reinforcement.

Obviously some weight there. Same answer. Use some strut and build some backing inside to support the fixture.

Way easier to repair the insulation than having a bunch of unistrut hanging off the outside of the building. What about mounting at one of the girts?

You can mount strut to the R panel but you would need access to the back to install nuts and bolts. Tek screws would hold until they ripped out from the weight of the fixture. If you have vinyl faced insulation you can cut a piece out and put it back using white repair tape. You should have some tape that came with the insulation.
