I'm gonna revive this thread. What about buying toolboxes remotely and having them shipped to you? I'm assuming that needs to be coordinated by the seller?
Has anyone ever done the moving pods and put toolboxes in them?

U-hauling my 85" fully loaded toolbox from Montana to Oregon this weekend, my plan is to line the floor in 3/4" ply, fender washer & bolt tiedown points to the floor, chock the wheels with 4x4s screwed to the 3/4" ply and then use 4" straps to strap it to the floor to keep it tight to the floor, use 4" straps and lifting slings to secure it to the side walls to keep it from tipping and then pack the contents of the garage around it in large heavy 'disposable' costco totes.

I've moved it about 200 miles before, but never this far so hoping this works.
