Drop in the bucket compared to many on here.

No kidding.

That was one weak *** "how-to". That was some dude showing off his shiny new tool box, not an organization tutorial. Once he fits at least twice that many tools in that box, he'll be getting close to being able to tell me how to "organize" mine. I mean really...If I laid my wrenches out like that, they'd occupy my entire top box...And monkey **** fights at the zoo are more organized than me on most days.

That video just looks like some guy is really proud of his setup (not that I'm faulting him for that by any means) and wanted a way to showcase it.

I didn't see anything in that toolbox that impressed me.

There is a truck tech on You Tube that shows his box and contents in 2 parts. If you ever seen it you will know by what is impressive:thumbup:

I have to agree - he uses that storage space very inefficiently.

Nearly a complete waste of time, the video should be called "here's how I organized half of my toolbox."

I'm not so sure you couldn't fit all of that in a hand carry toolbox.

I still don't get it......why do people post videos of their tools on the internet. I've posted a few pics on here, but never a "here's which drawer you want to pry open after you break into the shop video". Seems to me like you're just asking for trouble. Anyone have thoughts on this?

This is standard issue for eHow, in my experience. Check out some of their other stuff...most of it is so simplistic that it's hilarious.

nothing spectacular, could have used some wrench organizers and socket organizers. I'm not a fan for stuff rolling around in my tool box.

Not impressed with any of that, but I'm sure the "high performance" stuff he works on would blow me away.

I personally would have pretended some other box (a friend or coworkers)with a real tool collection was mine for making the video.

Guys, come on, let's give the guy a break. He has some esoteric specialty tools that most of you would kill to own. Like that crochet needle.

I like the crochet needle idea, the tools on the other hand I would GIVE to my kids to use. If anyone has a link to the video CanadianCharlie talked about please post it. I tried to search youtube with no luck.

This is how you show off your tools. But none the less, there is nothing wrong with being proud of what you have and showing it off. Just don't think you are the best.

I'm all for videotaping and itemizing tools for insurance purposes but just for the act of showing them off to millions on youtube that you have thousands of dollars in tools and for bragging rights is a good way to get ripped off or cleaned out seeing as how information is so easy to get on the net these days

Well I wouldn't put it on Youtube, that's for sure!

Besides...If I posted up all my tools in this thread...You guys going to go google "It burns when I pee" to find me? Good luck with that :D

J/K man...I had all my stuff documented at my last place, but I need to do it again. I usually put all the full sized pics on a CD and put it in my safe deposit box as well as store smaller resolution stuff online in a password protected area of my website.

I think we are missing the big picture here. This exemplifies how great the internet is... A ***** who calls standard sockets "English" and has no real tools to organize, can put his **** on the internet and have 10,000 people watch the video. In turn he thinks with all the people watching it he must be the genius his wife keeps reassuring him he is! :lol_hitti

Did that video make anyone else just sad? I mean the guys tone is so flat while he is showing off what I'm sure is his pride and joy. And yet, its just really not special...

That kinda stuff just makes me feel bad for the guy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way!!!

I mean, seriously.. the guy is acting like he has the Snap-On Master set, and it looks more like a K-Mart Blue light special happened in the home improvement department.

Not to take anything away from his tool collection, but come on!!!

So were is it i can make 35$ an hour if I have a good back and lots of coffee?

As for the socket thing, Some older men Call then English. Like my grand father does, my father calls them standard I say SAE but I do know what all there are. They are fractional sized sockets.

Man, some of you are harsh. Let the guy be proud of what he has. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Mwhahaha!

I only have 1 drawer each for SAE and Metric on the wrenches I use all the time so it's a bit tight... BUT it doesn't take me long to find what I need still.

I put all the fancy wrenches in another toolbox since I don't use them often. Big 'uns, flare, stubbies, offset head, angled head, etc.

Same. I also was not fond of how he stacked some smaller wrenches on top of the larger ones :wtf:.
