I want to install a cement burb along my property line besides my flower bed. Its 45 ft long, curbs are 6"x6"x39" and weight 115lbs. I am planning on digging a trench say 10" wide 2-3 inches deep and fill/level with screenings. Since these are heavy any ideas how I can pick and place with destroying my bed and being able to lift it up and make adjustments if needed.
Any ideas would certainly help me out
Many thanks

I've got a bad back. I'd just get a buddy to help me lug them.

Did that with 12ft RR ties. They are probably 300+lbs each.

I think precast paving stones would work, lots of options for edging, could even use belgium blocks, regular or jumbos if you need more footing, easy to install .

115lbs? Take off your dress, grab a moving dolly with pneumatic tires and get after it.

Of course I'm just now finally recovered from my last back surgery so you probably shouldn't take my advice...lol

I'm now thinking about a sling of some type, with two guys, one each, then slide the strap out from underneath it. I found by googling they have curb lifting tongs for that, but I can't find any around here to rent.

How did they move those big stones in Egypt?

Rollers, baby.

Two average people ought to be able to set them close.

One person with a 24" prybar and a fulcrum like a block of 2x4 that doesn't sink in should be able to adjust them.

Update, got the job done by using two people with a sling to pick and place the curb. Cost effective and very easy as you don't have to bend down and easy to pick it back up if things aren't right. sorry no pics.
