Hi Folk

New on this site.Got some gear to show, snap on stuff, but I can't do the photo thing.Just can't get it.Posted loads on other sites though.Need some advice on gear that may help out others.
Could someone possibly post how to do it.I could then print it and then I'd know.

Can't find the other posts I put up recently, asking the same thing.

Big thanks for any help offered.

Regards

Do you have your photo's loaded on a storage site? Like photo bucket or Fotki? That is the best way to load pics. Simply copy and past the url of the pic bracketed with these
COLOR]Paste url here[COLOR="red"]

That's all I do and the size is never an issue.
If you right click on my photo below and pick "properties" at the end of the drop down, you will see the url I pasted in between the image tags

Hi Astroracer

Where I'm at with Photobucket is: I have managed to get 9 thumbnails in a row (and that was a miracle)of what I would like to post on GJ.After that I can't seem to find out what to do or control anything. How does Photobucket know where I want to send these thumbnails? How do I know they will turn into the correct size for GJ ?

I really don't know much about img and url placement or photo size control.Problem is I don't know any of the basics of this stuff.

I know you' re experienced at this and I do appreciate you taking the time to try to show me what to do,but I'm now feeling at a loss as to how to do this.Getting me down, you know.I feel like a complete dope.

If you have got a bit more time to tell me where I go from here ,that would be great.

Big thanks

I know nothing about Photobucket BUT, if it is similar to Fotki, I have to actually click on the pic I want to copy (to open it) to get the url for the full size pic. That url will be in the properties drop down. Copy that url and paste it in between the img tags in your post. I actually type the img tags into the post before I paste the url. You don't "send" the pics from the storage site, you copy the url and paste it into your post directly.
Go back to my initial post and click on the pic with your right mouse button. THAT is what you need to have in YOUR post to load a pic.
Simply type
into a line and paste the pic url into the middle of it.

GJ gives you a limited amount of storage for Pictures and Albums off of your Control Panel page. You must resize the picture before uploading (Win 7 Paint works well).

Once you have your picture uploaded into an album, you are only half way done. Put your mouse pointer on the picture and RIGHT click, followed by "Open in New Window". If the picture in the new window is NOT the bare image, repeat (right click, open in new window) until you get a window with the bare image.

Copy that image url and paste it between
in your post.
