How to remove drawer trim on KRL

How do you remove the thin chrome trim on the front of the drawer pull without tearing it up? Is there a special tool for this? thx

I used a small wooden dowel so as not to scar up the finish and tapped it off gently with a small mallet from the side. They will come off easily sideways.

Thank you, I thought that might be the only way to do it. Those 52 inch drawers will take a lot of tapping

I'm wanting to do the trim on my krl also. I just tested out coating the trim on my Cman box. I was able to tap those off/out pretty easy. The trim on the Krl seems to be on there a bit tighter....

I gave up and replaced it with a plastic push on chrome strip. Not stock I know bit it actually looks pretty good

I knocked mine off a side cab. A few taps with a hammer and a small piece of wood against the end. They weren't tight all the way off. I tightened them up a little by giving them a wack with a plastic tipped hammer.
