How to remove wall texture & carpet padding glue from vinyl flooring?

We have a downstairs room that is carpeted. I peeled back the carpet to find vinyl underneath that looks like hardwood; it even has some 'texture' to it so it's not perfectly smooth.

1. However, in one of the corners there is some over-spray on the flooring from when the previous owner textured the walls (standard orange peel look). How can I clean/remove the over-spray without damaging the vinyl?

2. Also, recommendations on removing the glue that was used to hold down the padding? The glue is soft and I can push it with my fingers. It's similar to the glue they use to hold a credit card to a letter when a bank mails one to you, except the glue is more stiff.

It'd be nice to remove the carpet and expose the vinyl.

try ronsonal lighter fluid on the glue. yellow bottle. get it from wally world or the cig shops. whatever you do, dont use anything sharp to scrape the glue off. youll nick the vinyl and be SOL.
as for the texture. it should be easy. just take a damp towel or rag and lay it on the area. it should bring it all loose in a few tries. let it sit if its not in the way. the moisture will pull it right up. wipe up the remaining mud and them mop her clean.

x2, the texture should be easy. It's water soluble.

Paint on vinyl isn't usually too bad. Cheap spray oven cleaner. Spray, wait, scrub with a plastic scouring pad.
