How to square table saw fence?

I'm borrowing a 10 inch 2.5 hp craftsman with dado set from a friend. No fence, miter gauge, or anything else to work with. Just the table.

I need to make a several tongue and groove joints on 8ft MDF trims and tried using a 2" x 24" MDF with clamps, it was extremely difficult to get it paralleled with the dado. Do you have any suggestion to make the job much easier?

Wobble or stacked dado ?

if you're using a wobble dado set up put a regular blade in the saw,( stacked dado you can use the dado blade) raise it as high as it will go. measure from the blade to the fence , then spin the blade 180degrees and measure again to the fence using the same tooth . when both those measurements are the same, you should be good. run a test piece thru the saw and see if it binds or runs out and adjust as necessary

Do what The Cobbler said for checking the blade, except verify it against the miter slots and table edge. Assuming the blade is parallel to those, (it should be...) then you can measure whatever you are using for the fence to the table edge, or the miter slots.
