Ok. You could also get some PVC pipe in different diameters with end caps and make your own holder.

I keep mine in the bag they come in, make a small cut in the center of the bag to pull them out, that way they can't get out on their own.
That holder would be ok in a workshop etc but i work mobile repairing stuff so it would get knocked over all too easily.

I have a few shock absorber boxes saved. One day, I'll cut them to length, glue them together, glue them to a piece of cardboard, then wall mount. Until then, mine are in the original bags (corner clipped) in an open box, in a cupboard.

I use a large Plano box for mine, no worries about spill or mess, sizes stay put, and I can take it wherever I want. The tubes do look like a cool idea though, not bad for when you work a lot on the bench and don't want to screw around grabbing a bag or box. Having tools and whatnot at easy reach makes work a lot better sometimes.

I made some thing like that out of pvc. Works well, have not done the 52 pick up yet. But the day is not over yet

I leave them in the bag, cut out the middle third on one side.
If I am using a lot (11 inch T&B with metal tang) I take a bunch out and sacrifice one around the bunch to keep them together.
And.....as some here will know....that specific tyrap sticks out over the top of most Klein bags by a couple inches.
I used to use tubes for Deltec tyraps. 30 inches long, and very strong. Works good in truck, but not otherwise IMO.

I was told that good tie wraps have a high nylon content. Nylon is hygroscopic, which means that over time, they'll lose any moisture content in them and become brittle. Unless you are going to use them within a few months, it's best to keep them in a sealed bag or container.

years ago I bought a set from HF and it came in a large clear plastic tube almost like post #14 but you could see through it. Then I put a rubber band around each of the different sizes and put them back in that container.
Funny thing the ties are not so bad and they hold up well except under extreme cold here in the Midwest, but the rubber bands do not hold up that well.

Something that is hydroscopic attracts and retains moisture, like brake fluid.
His use of the word was referring to it as losing moisture, drying out, and becoming brittle. In effect, the opposite of something that is hydroscopic, I'm sure there is a fancy term to fill in there.

same here. for infrequent workshop/home use, I wouldn't be able to justify a more bulky or costly storage method

Exactly how i store mine sitting in the shop on a shelf in all colors needed. black,white.yellow,purple. Looking for red and blue now havent found them at a decent price yet.

I have a drawer in a Craftsman cabinet that holds most of 'em. I keep them in the original bags and just cut a small hole to pull them out. Works for my infrequent use.
For the small colored ones that I use often, I have a Durham drawer/tray.

Even I keep them in a plastic bag in a drawer but I just thought I would share it because someone took the time to make something bitchin besides a friggin plastic bag.
The owner/user of this uses it on a bench in an NHRA pit where they do motor changes between rounds and go through tye raps quite a bit so it does seem very handy instead of a trip in to the trailer for a tye rap

Nice setup. I hate the plastic bags zip ties come in. But I could see myself picking them up off the floor.
X2 on this. Just like Cad70 shows. Just grab the proper bundle from the drawer and take it to the job. As you use the ty-wraps tighten the cinch to keep the bundle tight. When done put the bundle back into the drawer.

X3, I have three sizes in a tight-ish pocket on the side of my bag. Every time a new package gets opened the last few remaining get added then a 7" goes around them. They all get tightened during cleanup after any task.

I'm sorta OCD, so I used several size PVC and a bunch of duct tape to make a holder for all sorts of sizes and types I had lying around, then mounted it to the side of one of my workbenches. It has been really nice being able to grab whatever I need without fumbling through jars, bags and plano boxes to get what I want. Definite timesaver and worth the effort.

Where did you get the red,green,blue zip ties i have the other colors. But need to get those three colors thanks.

this ^...I keep them like this in my travel box for the races, just a zip tie around zip ties...
bags tend to open/split @ the most inopportune times/places

I bundle like ties together and store them in old pretzel buckets like these. Works very well
