Accepting that it will never be perfectly straight is the first requirement. I use bending pliers to get around obstructions and keep things generally straight-ish.

I'm with Scott on this one. The real concern is that is doesn't chaff against another part or the frame and the manufactured like doesn't leak. If the answer is no to both questions call it done.

There are various homemade versions of this tube floating around the net. Or you can buy one but not cheap.

Take it to your local hose/fitting or hydraulic supply shop and have them run it through their straightener.

I just straighten it by hand/eye. What I always do is leave a straight section sticking out of the coil after I cut a piece off. The only time I have a problem getting it straight is when it is curved right at the end, sometimes easier to straighten it then cut the first few inches off to get rid of the curved piece.

The Eastwood and BrakeQuip tools use the "traditional" multi-wheel design which works quite well.
