I would try calling them hex head insert bits or hex head power bits, you should get some results. A few brands also call them socket head bits. I haven't come across many brands of hex insert bits that are impact rated. You might want to look into Zephyr or Apex bits for good quality industrial duty options (if they are available in Australia), and I know that Wera makes the Impaktor hex bits. Wiha probably also has an equivalent product line.

A more readily available setup for the average person would be to use a hex square drive adapter for your impact driver and then use a set of impact hex sockets which are much easier to find.

You could also just try out some different brands of regular hex bits and see how they do under impact duty. Just wear safety glasses in case they turn out to be brittle instead of soft.

Ahh this is looking more like it

I had the same issue looking for short 1/4" ball end hex bits in both SAE & Metric.

I purchase a cheap set from princess auto a few years ago and I have broken a few of the smaller sizes.
