How would you keep these draws shut?

I purchased one of these Vevor drill dispensers for $55 and I'm super happy with it but like many things it needs some work to get it how I'd like it. So I replaced the bad labels, added foam inserts to each sections so the bits wouldn't wander around too much and I added a lot of staineless slugs I had floating around to the back so it wouldn't tip when pulling out the top drawer.

The only thing I'm still struggling with is latching the drawers shut which is needed in my application. I have those little latches like you can see resting on the 1/2 label, I was thinking about riveting those to the far right under the handles so they're mostly out of sight with a small l bracket with a hole on the right of that for the pin. I also have some piano hinge I was going to rivet to the right side and just fold it open to block the drawers with a little level to swing down and keep the piano hinge from moving.

There has to be an easier way though since I can't get rivets in that tight of space and the piano hinge I have is too narrow anyway so, any thoughts?

You're okay with a single mechanism that covers all the drawers right? Maybe a piece of flat bar that is hinged on one end and has a latch at the other? Like a rectangular slot in the flat bar and a little piece on the toolbox side that rotates 90 degrees once the bar is slid over it.
Or a chain that slides over a bracket fastened to the box, assuming a little bit of drawer movement is acceptable.

You could put a little rubber button on the drawers, or slides, or the cabinet, to add a little friction, and make the drawers stay closed.

I think this is the general idea I had with the piano hinge, it would work best maybe, I guess I should look for larger piano hinge.

Maybe glue a small neodymium to the back of the drawer that would make contact with the back wall of the steel case???
You can test the idea out without drilling holes in your case... If it didn't work, peel it off and move on to the next idea...

Magnets are magical.... They do their stuff without needing batteries....

I know, I love them too! In this case however, it's going to be a mobile application so I need something more bulletproof.

add a battery and you have an electro-magnet that can be very strong but turned off for access

Fasten a small piece of angle on the front bottom under the last drawer. Put a hole or a slot in the angle leg perpendicular to the case front. Drill a hole in the top in line with the bottom bracket. Make an L shaped piece of flat bar or rod and drop the piece in covering the drawers pin the top. Done.

Piano hinge is Durham's factory solution.

Yeah, I think I am going to go with the piano hinge...again. I just need to modify it more and I think I'll be in good shape.
