How would you make a filter tray for this air handler?

I'm going to be installing HVAC for my shop.
The AH will sit on the wall on a unistrut bracket.
It is a vertical install and upflow. Is that right? It will draw from the bottom.
There is no provision into the bottom for a filter.

I was going to use some 1x1x1 U or J trim like that is used for around doors in a metal building.
Clip the metal, bend it to form a 3 sided track to slide the filter in.

Personally I would mount a media filter to the bottom that takes a 5" thick filter then a short sleeve and a filter grill that will hold a 1" thick filter.
The 1" filter can then catch the big stuff and is cheap to replace and the good 5" thick filter will keep the coil and blower clean.

Find a sheetmetal or duct work shop and have them make you a filter sleeve and enclosure.
Most smaller HVAC companies don't make their own ductwork anymore and subcontract out to the above.
Or if you are handy, build one out of plywood, wood, sheet insulation, etc.

If i had an image of what I'm looking for I could duplicate it.
I just don't really know what to build or fabricate.

As far as a media filter that'd be fine too. I've searched for images but nothing really that works or doesn't seem to work for what I need.

Here's a filter base meant to go under a furnace/airhandler with a trap door for easy filter swaps. it's heavy gauge metal so it can support the weight of the furnace/coil combo. You could make it out of thinner gauge metal and find a way to attach it to your A-coil. Just to give you an idea and maybe duplicate it for yourself.

Ok thanks. Thats about what I had in mind.
The AH will sit on the unistrut bracket with some angle I'll screw to the side of the cabinet.

I think my idea will work out. Just have to size it properly to accept a standard 20x20x1.
Possibly can adapt it for a media filter as Posted above but I know some AH don't like a lot of restriction . I'll have to reread the manual.
