How would you organize these work benches?

How would you organize these work benches? I have a 22'x10' space basically half the garage I have four benches that need to be repositioned in a more user friendly everything on top does have a place just have to put it away. Maybe its too many benches? First pic is from the right side with sandblast cabinet then next pic is moving to the left.

Why do you need so much benchtop real estate? It seems like you could use more storage space and less benchtop area. I've found that a single workbench and a movable one (with locking wheels) provides lots of flexibility for projects and storage while allowing plenty of room for walking or maneuvering material. Also, L-shaped workbench layouts always have the problem of wasted corner space, especially underneath.

Shelves are your friend. It looks like much of the mess could go on shelves.

Benches are catch alls. Best to minimize if ( like me) it's difficult to keep em cleared off.

They just become a large shelf

yeah I have a pallet rack on the other side of the garage where most goes. The long bench with oven kind of has to stay I put the reloader on it when not in use but I am thinking the large dark blue bench needs to go. Maybe the one with the oven needs to go and use the dark blue bench there

Have you looked at Jack Olsen's 12-gauge garage? Space looks similar, size wise. One thing I learn from Jack is to have a place for everything and have it conveniently located to the work bench. I can clean my work bench pretty quickly now that I'm better organized.

Definitely agree with everyone above on having less work benches and more storage, especially vertically. Here's an example of what I was able to do in my garage. I went from the long shelf to two vertical cabinets. Less clutter, better use of vertical space. I have two more matching cabinets waiting to be utilized also.

It is all about foot print my friend, the only way to minimize footprint is to go vertical. You have available height. Look at anything on the floor and ask yourself if it merits taking footprint. One or more of your benches could easily be part of an integrated shelving structure with layered shelving, both above the bench and below - with attached lighting, power and air.

Open shelving helps. They are dust catchers, but get stuff up and out of the way.

Cabinets make things visually cleaner, neater and organized, but you must open them to get at stuff. Still a great tool.

Minimize workbench area. It just becomes a clutter collector. Make one bench a fold down (Or up) wall mounted surface. It's out of the way and can't collect clutter, yet is available for laying out big projects.

Organization is 50% having a very specific place for each and every thing.

The other 50% is having the habit of always putting everything back where it belongs.

Sort, segregate, simplify. My 3 S's.

Keep taking things out of the work space, until you find yourself going and hunting them down because you need them back. That's when you know you have just the right amount of things in there.

Banish stored items to elsewhere. This is a work space, not a storage shed.

And/or shelving. And put pegboard on the cabinet doors and on walls. Benches are for working on not really storage.
