How would you rate truck boxes?

Lista boxes > any truck boxes.

Lista drawer slides compared to my so krl1003 made my krl triple bank look like a toy.

While this may be true on a few of their setups, the fact you can customize drawer layout kinda negates this.

Mainly I am referring to most Matco boxes I see on the used market having too many deep drawers and not enough shallow drawers. Often they will have no shallow drawers at all. I like having at least 2 shallow drawers at least 36" wide on a box.

You really need to compare specific models vs. making general rankings of the brands.

(ex: SO KRL's are top shelf IMHO but I'd put KRA's way down on the list and just slightly better then Craftsman, HF and the other home center boxes.)

Are two true takes on it.

I presently use four SnapOn boxes, one Blue Point, one Mac Tech 1000 a Matco 4225, and a bunch of other boxes from Torin, Craftsman, generic.

All have points.
Too many different boxes made over many years by each manufacturer.
Even if you only compare top of the line, or bottom of the line, there are too many variables.
Even a dyed in the wool Snappy fan wouldn't say my KRA boxes are better than my 4225. But the 4225 is nothing compared to a top end Matco box.
Which is better, a Ford ****** or a Cadillac deVille?
Or a Lincoln town car vs a Cobalt?
See what I mean?

Even your most diehard fans of each brand should get this.

Now on resale, generic, the best prices come from SnapOn, then Mac then Cornwall, then Matco, at least based on observing thousands of adds.
This has nothing to do with quality, as Craftsman often sell for more than Mac or Cornwall. Just customer name recognition.
