The guy wants $200 which is more than I really want to spend but I'm gonna call buddy tomorrow and try too have a closer look at it.For some reason I thought I saw a guideline in price per pound of old vises. Does anyone know what it is or did I just make that up in my head.

I don't know anything about that vise is particular, but it looks pretty sweet. I would say closer to $100 is a fair price.

Looks like a old Parker. Its only as good as the condition of the jaws and you will have to put a hole thru your bench to mount it. Me? I wouldn't pay $50 for it.

It's probably missing a base. I bought a Reed that was designed like that and saw a picture of one with the base the next day. Luckily I bought a base for $10.
