Bought this saw the other day on Craigslist for $25. Runs great, no strange noises, seems to cut straight although the blade is worn, and it was made in Taiwan.

I would love to have found that, but I call **** solicitation.

I was actually interested in whether I got a good deal. I tried to buy one a few days before that for the same price and missed it. I was just hoping that $25 isnt the going rate on one of these.

I've been looking for one like that for a while. If I found a good one like that, I would probably have paid $50 for it. I think that $25 is a good deal.

As the saying goes ... YOU ****!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I got lucky then. I contacted the guy within seconds of it posting and had to drive to the ghetto at 10pm to get it but Im glad I did. (The guy was very nice and had it hooked up to test before I bought it)

Keep a check on the gear box lube that is where the hf one has had problems. I have heard some of them came thru with no lube in them and th gear box on that delta is in about the same place. When I gt mine I drained the chicom lube and put in my own brand.

That's a good little saw for the money. It's a generic Chicom sold under a dozen different brand names. Mine is "Dayton" but they're all made in the same factories.

I had one of these saws years ago. The Gear Box always leached the lube through the cheap gasket material. So I took it apart refilled it with STP Oil Treatment and sealed it up with Forma Gasket. The saw was about 15 years old when I got it and all I had to do is put a cord on it...a freebee. I used it relentlessly for another 15 or so years until finally the bearings gave out on the gear box and the switch went up in smoke. Got another $0.045 per pound from the scrap guy for it...

Keep an eye on the Lube...
