How'd I do on this Air Compressor from Craigslist?

It's a 1995, 7.5 HP two-stage 80-gallon Air America/DevilBiss for $600, with water separator or something. It was used in a small contractor/woodworking shop, so I don't think it was used too much.

I was thinking of buying a new 1-stage 5hp for $700+, so I thought this sounded like the better deal. More bang for the buck.

How'd I make out? Good deal or not? I'm on the fence... seems like a lot of air compressor, but 1995 is kind of old.

looks good to me i just replaced a really old devilbiss with a new to me 1995 IR t30 because i couldnt easily find parts. i think good compressors have a long service life, i wouldnt worry about the year. look into an overhaul kit for the ump.

25cfm @100psi for $600 yeah you did good.

Even with it being 16 years old, it looks like the PO took good care of it. Ive always had great luck with Devilbiss compressors.
