Our 19x20 Workshop

Howdy,
My name is Chris. My wife and 2 daughters live in Northern California(way North) where we build hot rods, motorcycles and run a small metal fab shop out of our 19x20(very small) garage.

I am hoping to get some great ideas to organize our small space better.

Here are some pictures of our work space.

Welcome and thanks for the pics! Nice looking shop.

I have the same band saw and metal lathe as you. Do you belong to the Yahoo Groups for both of them?

Nice Shop. It's the same size as my garage, and gives me some great ideas. Love the VW hot rod too. My wife and I have a '72 baja bug.

Love the shop! What I would've done to have that VW dash a year ago. It would've saved me alot of work.

It was a 4x10 panel of 22 gauge(it had a small crease in it so I got it cheap. always ask the metal supplier if they have anything with a little damage) that we trimmed to fit under the cabinets and bent the corner over a 2x4. easy to clean and great for magnets.
thanks,
Chris

I dig the metal wall sheathing... What was the deal on that? Can you give us a bit more info there?

Nice set up, looks very functional, and of course the longboards and the vw give it the cool factor....of course I am biased as I also have a rack of boards and a vw in my own garage:beer:

Love it!! That welding cart is awesome, mainly the swingout mount for the belt sander!!! I have been thinking of a few different ideas for this type of thing and that one is incredible.

Nice work and nice Vdub.

The welding cart is actually my welding table. I figured at 700+ pounds I could mount just about anything to it. Thanks for the compliments.

I am not aware of the 2 Yahoo forums. Are they under brand name or tool type and size?
Thanks,
Chris

PS. I am 90 miles north of Sac.

Chris,

Sorry for the late reply. I was just going over old posts and found your question.

The above groups include thousands of members and feature upgrades, improvements and work-arounds for these specific tools. Great groups of people.
