Really depends upon what you work on and what you already have... kind of a broad question without context.

There's always the option of upgrading pieces of that 300pc socket set that everyone has at some point.

If you are looking at socketry, here's a few ideas for handy items that won't duplicate most "master" sets:

- Nepros T-handles (NBHT2, NBHT3)
- Quick spinners/quick spinner adapters
- Wobble extensions
- Ko-ken nut grip sockets

Along those lines of upgrading and filling in, one of the items I added this time around was the Ko-ken 3/8" Semi-Deep Socket Set RS3300X/8.

I don't currently have any semi-deep sockets and have been wanting to try some out. Figured this was a good way to cover the most used sizes (8-19mm), without breaking the bank.

Just got another order in. This is turning into a Epsteins day of sorts for me on an annual basis.

I wish I had placed my order in sooner. Darn 5mm PB Swiss bits out of stock again. Can never get the 4,5,6 combo. Maybe next year

Got PB Swiss hex bits, knurled allen keys, magnets in screwdriver handles (hoping to drill one out to use the handle), Koken ratchet spinner and sliding T handles (going to use for tap sockets).

The USPS really surprised me today, Memorial Day, with a package from DRPD.

I bought 2 Koken 160mm 1/4" drive ratchets, a Koken 3/8" drive double joint, and a PB Swiss carbide-tipped scriber.

Grabbed a bunch of PB Swiss bits, PB Swiss precision screwdriver set, Nepros 1/4" flex head ratchet, and some PB swiss screwdriver handle Torx and hex drivers. Should be nice additions to the home bike tool setup.

Zeal sockets/ratchets on Zeal ratchets is the most beautiful thing ever. Literally no wiggle/slop whatsoever.

I like the use of foam for the extension and ratchet holders. I have a 3D printed version saved in a bookmark but I haven’t pulled the trigger because they’re so expensive.

Granted I have no access to a printer or the know-how so I gladly pay for someone’s craft, but they’re still a bit spends for my home game.

I legitimately make them from gardening mats from the dollar tree — using a pin, utility knife (olfa of course) and a pair of flush cutters.

I then glue them into my toolbox with hot glue and magnets — its cheap, easy and entirely modular.

Not a problem whatsoever...

I use a t-pin to "trace" the item onto the foam -- it gets a really nice profile as if you keep the pin perpendicular to the foam -- you get a perfect "projection" down onto the foam.

It's hard to do with a pen -- unless the item sits flat on the foam..

Hope that makes sense -- I've been meaning to do a YouTube video of it.

I took no ones recommendation, and bought some of the new 72 tooth with the push button. These are way smaller than I was anticipating. Feeling catfished right now, should've read the length. Guess I need to order longer ratchets later.

The Zeal handles are a little on the small side, so they tend to make the tools look larger in photographs. But hey, now you have super compact options too!

Looks like a 1/4" model and a compact 3/8" in the same sized body next to it.

yeah it's the compact 3/8" and a 1/4", I also have a nepros compact 3/8" and the new 72 tooth is so smooth. A strong breeze will make that thing spin.

I’ll say the normal 3/8 in normal body is way more in line with other ratchets.

Those 1/4 and compact 3/8 are very small—but I think it’s a feature not a bug.

I will say the 3/8 compact in the flex head long pattern is a good form factor.

The regular sized ones are kinda comically small—but when you need it—it’s great to have.

the compact head is amazing, I was just anticipating it to be more like 8" long and then it was 4". Must have been a camera angle trick making it look longer .
