will PB re-release their ratcheting cross handle?
I do not expect an official re-release into the standard catalog, but...

The factory will run special tools for DRPD and we have done a ratcheting cross handle in the past, but there remains a significant backlog in standard production so that program has been temporarily halted. PB Swiss has been increasing factory capacity – adding new machines & robots, and running extra shifts to reign things in. With that, I'm hopeful the special production program will be available to us again soon and we may be cooking something up for when that happens :)

We do have a series of DRPD exclusive PB Swiss 1/4" bit sets arriving soon-ish. We've attempted to re-organize things a bit better there by offering sets mostly by single fastener type in a full size run instead of an assortment of different fastener types pared-down to the essential sizes. We sell a ton of individual bits and that can be a bit cumbersome on the fulfillment side so we're hoping these new sets can alleviate some of that by offering some better options. Look for these in the coming months:

PB Swiss C6 1/4" Bit Set, Hex, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB C6.982 DRPD)
PB Swiss C6 1/4" Bit Set, Torx®, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB C6.983 DRPD)
PB Swiss C6 1/4" Bit Set, Security Torx®, 9 pcs in BitCase (PB C6.983B DRPD)
PB Swiss C6 1/4" Bit Set, Hex SAE, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB C6.984 DRPD)
PB Swiss C6 1/4" Bit Set, Slotted, Phillips, Robertson, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB C6.988 DRPD)
PB Swiss E6 1/4" Bit Set, Torx® Plus, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB E6.981 DRPD)
PB Swiss E6 1/4" Bit Set, Hex, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB E6.982 DRPD)
PB Swiss E6 1/4" Bit Set, Torx®, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB E6.983 DRPD)
PB Swiss E6 1/4" Bit Set, Slotted, Phillips, Combination, 10 pcs in BitCase (PB E6.987 DRPD)

that’s great news. i just went through ordering every bit size by fastener and it was definitely cumbersome, especially on a mobile web browser.

I just need a C6 Phillip in size 4 and Tri-Wings for motorcycle application.

Great idea. Possible to get 4,5,6 mm hex kits for us wannabe bike mechanics? Wouldn't need it in a Bitcase but a dime bag would be good for me. Hopefully fulfillment gets a little easier around the crazy times.

I’m so in on this. Having bit sets with a bit holding socket takes up way less room in my toolbox than all the dedicated hex/torx/etc. bit socket sets.

I finally had a chance to sit down and order some stuff. I can’t get over how fast things sell out. Luckily my backup plan was still a go. Goes to show you that the early birds do get the worms.

I know Monday was a holiday, but how do you track or check the status of an order? I don't see any options for that on the website.

Normally you get an email titled "Your DRPD order has been updated" with the tracking info.

If you placed the order Monday, I would guess that you'll probably get an email at some point today.

Any plans for a black Friday/holiday sale? There are a few bits and pieces I'd like to buy, but I'm in no rush. I'd rather take advantage of a sale.

Any updates on another run of the DRPD/PB Swiss pick set? I know you mentioned that PB Swiss had paused special production runs but I’m curious if those have resumed at all.

While you're updating us, how's the shop build going?
I saw the DRPD bit sets you mentioned a few posts back are available now, that's exciting I'm gonna pick one up with my next order!
Do you anticipate any new products being added to the store before Thanksgiving? Going to start getting a cart ready :D

Looking to purchase a 3/8" extension set Koken has a SEMA special going on now when will your sale start?
Just a heads up, "Koken USA" is an independent vendor, not the tool company. Their prices are so jacked up to begin with that even with 20% off the 3/8" extension set, it ends up being less than $5 cheaper than DRPD's standard price. :dunno:

Koken USA: Highest prices, sales are a joke. Freeship with no minimum.

Palmac.net: Decent prices, freeship @$200+, different storefront for the same company as Koken USA

Zoro: Decent prices, freeship @$50+, good customer service (but somewhat limited because they drop-ship from Palmac/Koken USA), can be cheapest overall with coupon use

DRPD: Decent prices, freeship @$100+, great customer service, waaay faster order processing + shipping, and better packaging care

Set I was looking at was a 7 piece with a nice green storage tray.
The foam trays are custom sets that the vendor (Palmac/Ko-ken USA/OSAAP America) puts together, looks like a 2-3 week lead time according to their site. I believe the UK Ko-ken vendor offers a similar repackaging job.

The plastic trays are what come from the factory in Japan, that's what DRPD and other vendors carry.

I bought a couple of the Koken foam extensions sets at Koken USA, and they were not too bad deal as they include one extra piece for a cost less than the standard plastic tray set. Also you can't beat them if you need a single item. I needed 5/16" 12 point socket and used the everyday discount "MRSUBARU10" for 10% off and was delivered a nice socket for $4.00 give or take.
Just saying, don't completely count out Koken USA for tools. Sometimes they can't be beat.

Ohhh! Can we buy the foam trays separately?

Amazon-US recently had this set for $50, starting in August and ending in late October. Free shipping from Japan. It sometimes pays to also check Amazon for Koken deals. But Amazon-US does not have a large selection of Koken tools.

What was the code for the SEMA special discount? If I had known about it I would had ordered a couple of items. I never got an email notification from them about any SEMA Special discount codes.

I'll add another vote for Tone. I only have a few things by them, but they've all come from Amazon.jp since I couldn't find them in the US. I have the adapters to fit a socket to a ratcheting wrench, and a bunch of the long DBE 0* wrenches.

It was SEMA2023 I saw the code posted here on the forum. Its no longer valid. I believe there is a 10% off code floating around here that works all the time.

Special productions are still frozen, but I hope to have good news to share on this soon!

Shop build is going well, thanks for asking. We are moved in and shipping product, but still have some settling in to do. Here's a few photos of where we stand today – pardon the mess!

We have installed "Phase 1" of steel shelving made by Borroughs in Michigan to house our inventory. Milwaukee 2916-20 rotary hammer was so nice to drill all the anchor holes. The front aisle you see here is all PB Swiss

IMG_5559.jpg
Dedicated area for the photo studio (not setup yet).

IMG_5560.jpg
800 SF storefront space. Not sure what we are going to do here yet. Maybe a swanky showroom in the future – what do you guys think?

IT rack all connected up.

Office area coming together.

We typically launch on or around the actual Black Friday (next Friday 11/24)! Will let you guys know here as soon as we let it rip.

Just got an email from DRPD. 15% off with code BF23VIP, free shipping for orders over $100. 20% off for orders over $500 sub-total. If I recall correctly, after the discount is applied, your order must be over $100 to get free shipping.

Thanks for sharing. No shortage of things I want to try.

VIP

We usually trickle out a coupon code a few days early to give the top 100–200 spending customers first dibs.

I'd also like to now share a coupon code for GJ users to use before the general sale launches tomorrow – that coupon code is BF23GJ. 15% off sitewide / 20% off $500+ – coupon is good through Monday! GJ users are welcome to use the VIP code as well.

@billspreston Order placed late Tuesday and shipped out via UPS on Wednesday. Appreciate the quick shipping during a time of heavy orders! There are a lot of PB Swiss sellers now but I really like the ability to order PB Swiss, Koken and KTC all from one place. Great to see small companies like yours continue to thrive.

Picked up a few Black Friday goodies:
1) I did some rear shocks recently where a really long 17mm wrench would've been great. There was no room for a socket on one rusty nut, but I couldn't turn the 17mm wrench due to insufficient leverage, so eventually after much cursing the recip saw came out. So I picked up some of the KTC XL box ends, and next time I'll be prepared with a 16" long 17mm wrench.
2) I've been using a few 1/4" drive Nut Grip sockets, and I like them so much I picked up some 3/8" in frequently used sizes.
3) And I seem to use lug nut sockets a lot, mostly swapping between winter and summer wheel sets. I've been having issues recently with lug nuts sticking in my cheapie impact sockets, so I figured I'd try some quality sockets. I'll have to report back on whether they solve the stuck lug nut issue.

In the meantime, my thanks to DRPD for the quality tools, quickly delivered at a fair price.
