Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates, we've been busy busy busy working to expand our offerings! Some quick things to note:
  • Teamed up with KTC/nepros to offer a bunch of exclusive socket and bit socket sets that offer improved size coverage with little-to-no sizing gaps. Not sure about you guys... but it's a big pet peeve when a set has sizing gaps – inevitably you will need the missing size(s), with an infinitely higher probability of that happening if you don't actually own those sizes. These sets come in official KTC/nepros packaging and are available on our site now.
  • Ko-ken is now available. We just launched Ko-ken this week after taking photos for the website. LMK if we are missing any of your favorite Ko-ken tools – we are still getting comfortable with the full catalog and I'm sure we've overlooked some key items.
  • Continuing to expand our PB Swiss offerings and working hard to maintain consistent inventory in stock and ready to ship. We'll have another large shipment arriving in March.

Oh, man. The 1/4 Nepros stubby is back in stock. Very tempting for my compact tool kit. I already have the sliding t-handle that would extend the handle to make it full size.
I have also been surprised how handy the coin driver that I got from DRPD last year has been.

I just looked at drpd.cc website and couldn't find any claw hammers. Maybe next year they will expand the offerings a bit.

I think @aggiegrads was referring to NBR290H 'Stubby' and I bet you're looking for NBR290S 'Short'? NBR290H is currently in-stock and we expect to receive more NBR290S from Japan in a few weeks. If you've submitted a stock notification you should receive an email as soon as we add more inventory to the shop (y)

Most of our customers are more the mallet/dead-blow type, but we are definitely working on expanding the offerings to more all-encompassing trades. We'll be sure to keep claw hammers on the radar so we can look to bring in a small, but premium selection in the future.

Thank you, I am a claw hammer junkie. I have easy access to a local dead blow hammer dealer. Not looking for dead blow hammers @ this juncture.

Are you guys going to offer supplementary socket kits for the no gap sets, like 5.5-7 and 20-24 for the 3/8" Nepros socket set?
We do not have plans for supplementary sets at this time, but we do offer the individual 3/8" sockets in 20-24 (but not 5.5-7 currently). The supplemental sets are an interesting idea – not one I've thought of before. Thanks!

Hey Igor, nice to see you here - DRPD has wares if you have coin! :)

To be transparent, we're at a bit of a crossroads with USAG. Stanley Black & Decker's release of the Craftsmen V-Series (mostly re-branded USAG/Facom) makes it much more difficult for us to sell the USAG line here in the United States. We will likely either need to cut the USAG line down to focus on non V-Series products or cut the brand completely 🥺

BP, Is there a President's day discount code?
Seconded - I would love to try out some of these tools and a code would seal the deal!
Hey Fellas – we do not have an official code running, but how about we do a special code for the GJ Crew.

Coupon code GJPRESIDENT will get you 15% off all brands except for USAG which will be 25% off. Good through tomorrow night ending @ 11:59PM PST.

We appreciate the support!

I think the SBD launch of the Craftsman V Series was a utter failure. The ratchets ****. There's only a limited range of product available online from ACE/Lowes, little media coverage. The ratcheting wrench sets omit 15 & 18mm :wtf: I think all SBD manage to do was piss the made in USA crowd off by introducing French & Taiwan made tools under a revered Craftsman Version.

For the rest of you ... looks like a number of items are already out of stock, so you better get on it. :)

Thanks everyone for your orders. More GJers out there than I thought – y'all put a hurt on our nepros stocks! :)

I do apologize for the current stock issues – our goal is to have these products in stock 99% of the time so you can depend on getting a tool when it is needed. We are a growing business and it's simply been difficult to anticipate demand, but I'm confident we are getting much better at this moving into 2022. We hope to have another shipment landing from Japan here in the next few weeks.

When do you expect to get another shipment in of PB Swiss?
@jmj – we have a large shipment arriving this week. Half of it has arrived already and we are hoping to receive the rest of it by Thursday. We will update the inventory all together then so any back-in-stock alerts go out at the same time. The next shipment after this is scheduled for ~4 weeks from now.

Do you have any timeline for when you think you'll have the pbswiss ratcheting t handles again?
@sweet victory – you had asked about the PBST x DRPD ratcheting t-handles in another thread... we remain in a holding pattern on special production items while the factory in Switzerland catches up on demand for standard catalog items. These remain a high priority item for us and I'm hopeful we can produce them again sometime this summer along with some other cool new items.

RE: Koken --

Would be nice to stock the compact 3/8 stuff -- 2526Z-3/8 for the fixed and 2527-3/8 for the flex head -- they make a long and stubby version too I think of each.

Although -- I know I'll be waiting for the 72T version of that stuff to drop -- the Koken rep from Koken-USA told me:

So it can't be that far off -- I'm guessing their dragging their feet so they can clear out the remaining 3/8 36T stuff... as those units are on sale (at great prices) on the KokenUSA website.

Heck -- if you could stock the entire line of Z-Series ratchets -- you might be seeing a very very large order from me next time you drop a 15% coupon :-D

+1 on stocking entire Koken Zeal line.

I know DRPD is mostly bicycle focused but would love to see the full range - including 1/2” sizes for those of us working on motorcycles and cars.

Regardless, so stoked to have DRPD offering a great selection of Japanese brands locally - I’m just down the 101 in Santa Barabara!

Solid re-stocks and some new items hit this week from PB Swiss, nepros, KTC, and KNIPEX. Be sure to check it out if you've been waiting on something. For anything else currently out-of-stock we hope to have that replenished towards the end of the month.

We are anticipating the same – more 72T models to arrive, but not likely until later this summer. We can't wait!

Our plan at this time is to add any & all Z-Series ratchets just as soon as each specific model is transitioned to a 72T mechanism. Nice to know we have some local folks here – we do have mid-term plans to expand our humble bike shop to include a showroom & shopping area for the tools here in SLO as well.

Only thing missing is March Madness discount? I’m sure GJ members can create inventory issue very quickly….

As an Indiana Hoosiers fan... what is this March Madness you speak of? After 6, going on 7 years, I really have no idea what you are talking about 🙃
Sorry about Rutgers. I am completely in the same boat as you. We’re the “Bubble” team.

My bad; must've had a Biden moment

Looking forward to more PBSwiss!

That would be cool. Would give me a reason to hop on the Africa Twin and take a road trip! I love the area surrounding SLO.
