Howdy from Iowa

Hey everyone, new guy here from central Iowa. Im in the Ames area for anyone familiar with Iowa State University. Im an alum.

Anyhow, I've already chimed in in a few thread but I figure I should go through the forum routine and post and intro thread as well.

There are a ton of great ideas floating around these forums and I intend to check a lot of them out. I live in a shop building so any fabrication projects, storage ideas, or generally handy ideas are of interest to me.

Im originally from NE Ohio, but moved to Iowa for school and just stuck around after that. Im an antique tractor and Jeep guy, but at the moment life is mostly Jeep for me. (Its hard to collect tractors in a shared rental space.)

I like building stuff and welding, Im teaching myself as I go along. Two of my creations are attached. Thanks for having me aboard, I look forward to more tool info, debates, and projects.

Welcome! I went to ISU as well. Lived in Ankeny. After graduation worked in Melbourne, IA. There slogan, ‘Not down under, but on top’. I’m heading back in July to visit relatives and mates.

Not exactly. I'm a member of IJC. I followed jocci for a bit but soon dropped off. That was a few years ago.
