Hey y'all...first post here. Been reading for a few days now.

I'm in the process of researching building an extra garage on my property. I'm planning on a detached 16x24 building. (Has to be all brick due to HOA rules.) The new garage will house one of my cars and my tools. I'm planning on a single garage door (8x7 or 9x7) offset to one side so I'll have more storage/bench room on the other, and a 36" entry door on the rear/side. I'm open to comments and/or suggestions regarding my layout. I also plan on being my own general contractor once my project gets off the ground.

If anyone knows of a good framing and/or masonry crew in the DFW area, I'd appreciate any info you could share. Thanks!

Good to see another new guy on here from texas. As far as the framing and masonary crew I'm no help but I do have a overhead door for ya.
