New here... but an old forum vet. I modded on the worlds largest hunting related forum for 11 years, and am currently very active on a few Harley sites.

I recently moved to the San Antonio area, and into a smaller garage.

Safety: i'm not sure what size your garage is when you say small because some member's version of a small garage is huge to me. especially the members in Texas. one of the nicest smaller garage threads I've read is Denwood's that he has been working on the last few months that is about a 1.5 car garage and here's the link that might give you a good read and some ideas.
