After living around here since 1991, I was fortunate 11 years ago to buy a small country property with a home and a decent sized shop already built. The shop was pretty much an empty insulated box with a Reznor used oil heater and a hangar style door.

Since then I have added a large roll-up door, electrical and lighting, and a toilet room with sink. We built a small office with storage above it, and set up a workshop on the sunny end, adding a 2-post lift 8 years ago, and recently an air system using 3/4" black pipe. I would like to replace the old inefficient aluminum-frame windows someday.

In my spare time I like to fix, tinker with and build old Chevy trucks and maintain a couple of motorcycles and cars. Occasionally i get to practice my poor welding skills!

Looking forward to learning about all kinds of things from others here on this forum board!

Thanks, Daryl

Daryl: so you don't have to, but i for one would love to see your barn and maybe a few of your projects. also it helps to know how to post pictures when starting a thread or asking questions that need specifics.

you can read and learn something on most any thread and if you stay away from those threads that some just love to be negative you'll have a great time here and learn a lot more. also sharing your wisdom with those of us wanting to learn until we die is always welcome.

take care and i use the paperclip just above where you write your posts to attach pictures sort of like an email attachment.

good luck and nice first post.
