Howdy, y'all.

I'm a power plant operator in S. TX who has an unusual desire to buy every shiny tool I see.

I live in a house built in 1947 that was vacant for 20 years before I moved in. I have an incredible sense of pride and insist on doing everything myself even if it cost me more :) I am not a carpenter, electrician, or plumber but to date, I have not needed assistance with anything other than heavy lifting and with that being said, I bought a Massey Ferguson subcompact tractor to alleviate the majority of that. I do occasionally have my brothers come over to help but it is more to visit than to actually work.

Going from newest to oldest my vehicles are: 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, 1993 Chevy K2500, 1991 Suburban V1500, 1987 Jeep Comanche, 1979 F150 4x4, 1979 F250 4x4, 1977 F100 (first vehicle), 1971 Chevy K5 Blazer. I also have a 2000 Ford E450 Class C motorhome. I am quite the vehicle hoarder. If anyone is wondering, my main daily driver is my 91 Suburban. I just recently swapped an NV4500 into it when the 700r4 took a dumb.

With a house like I have and a collection of old vehicles, one could imagine that I am probably quite the tool collector, as well.

I am your typical proud American/Texan. I love USA made and will seek it out and pay more if need be. I started my tool collection off in HS back in the late 90's/early 2000's buying all Craftsman and only Craftsman. At the time it was very accessible, USA made and relatively affordable. As I got older and started making more money I acquired a taste for more expensive stuff. I bought a handful SO tools (electric impact, 1/2 impact sockets, 3/8 ratchet and sockets) but quickly realized that it just wasn't practical to invest in those so I changed gears and started buying up Proto.

My youngest brother is in college and is getting into tools so I'm gonna put together a collection of my HS Craftsman stuff and hand it down to him and replace them with some new Proto stuff. I'm basically just giving him huge pile of sockets and wrenches with a few oddball ratchets thrown in.

Anyways, that's my introduction.
