I have been lurking on this forum for a couple of months now and really love the great information from this forum. My family and I have recently (2 yrs ago) moved into a foreclosed house with a detached garage that is pretty much a clean slate. Over the next month I will be using some of the ideas and products from this forum to start and finish the garage.

Can't wait to get STARTED!!

Welcome to the board. What part of Texas are you in?

And just a warning this place somehow will empty your wallet without you knowing it.

I live in College Station area, outside of the city limits....for now. The way this place is growing I'm afraid it won't be long before we are annexed. That is why I need to finish out my garage, I don't want to deal with all the permits. I'll get a thread going on my build, but for now I still planning and picking light, flooring, etc.......

Your right...this forum is ADDING to my cost!! Glad to be part of it.

CA: if you do start a build thread in the garage gallery might i suggest you put a link to the thread in your sig line in your profile? also post up a few pictures here if you want to see if one of us might have a thread we can provide a link to that might help you.

hang on to your wallet because you'll see a lot of great stuff and tool to buy because most of the members can show you how to use them.

cheers and welcome to our group

Welcome from another "not been here very long" newbie, over near Brenham. Close to the Independence area. I'm about an hour from you, depending on what side of College Station you're on. I'm getting ready to build a tractor/workshop garage, and have been trawling for tips here. Great site!

Aren't the wildflowers great this year!

I grew up in Bryan and my Mom and Dad live in College Station. In fact, I'll be over there tomorrow.

Welcome from Austin!

(for those who don't know, Bryan and College Station re so close together that they've just grown together into one big metropolitan area)

Lots of people from Texas!! Brazos and Washington counties are BEAUTIFUL this time of year with all the Bluebonnets. I am very familiar with Washington county, been to Brenham, Independence, and surrounding areas hundreds of times. My sister and brother-in-law live between Brenham and Chappel Hill.

If anyone wants to take a scenic route to look at bluebonnets, I recommend FM 390 from Independence to Burton.

Thanks for the great welcome!

Now you're on my doorstep! I live about where FM390 and FM2621 meet.
